Erik Weidstam
Erik Weidstam is Area Lead for Sustainability Reporting, Manager and Senior Advisor within Ethos' Corporate Sustainability division. He is a leading expert in CSRD and sustainability reporting and functions as the organisation's primary knowledge resource, providing strategic guidance and specialised expertise regarding best practices within current and upcoming standards and legislations (e.g., GRI, NFRD/CSRD, ESRS). With a portfolio encompassing the successful leadership of over 20 Double Materiality Assessments, Erik supports clients to make informed, fact-based and science-driven decisions in their DMA processes and reporting.
Erik has experience in leading projects for national and global clients in industries such as insurance, finance, FMCG, fintech, health tech and the service sector. Most recently, he was engaged in supporting one of Sweden's major mortgage banks in implementing ESRS practices. Through this and earlier experience, he has a proven track record of effectively managing diverse stakeholder relationships and translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable strategies that are driving organisational alignment. Erik’s deep understanding of CSRD has positioned him as a popular speaker, regularly contributing to media, keynotes, and industry panels.
Erik holds a MSc in Globalization and Social Change from Stockholm University and a BSc in Social Geography from Uppsala University.
