Edwige Cavan
Edwige Cavan is a Senior Advisor and Sales and Partnerships Manager at Ethos. She leads complex sustainability projects and manages engagements across diverse sectors, including finance, manufacturing, business information, AI-powered ad software, life science, and consumer goods. Her expertise guides companies through their complete sustainability journey, from double materiality assessments and regulatory compliance to developing value-driven strategies and ensuring their operational implementation.
Her responsibilities include double materiality analysis, creating sustainability reports and strategies, providing regulatory guidance, conducting environmental and social impact/financial analyses, engaging with stakeholders, and managing data collection.
Before joining Ethos, Edwige was a Sustainability Advisor at another consultancy, where she focused on developing sustainability strategies, performing double materiality assessments, leading workshops and training sessions, and creating digital marketing content. Edwige also brings diplomatic experience from her time as a Science Diplomacy Advisor at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and within the Political, Security, and Development section at the European External Action Service in Washington D.C.
Academically, Edwige pursued doctoral studies at the Sorbonne, combining her expertise in American studies with a strong interest in Arctic geopolitics. Her doctoral research included visiting researcher positions at Brown University and Columbia University. She holds a Master's degree in American Studies from the Sorbonne and is the author of "Interlinkages between Climate Change Impacts, Public Attitudes, and Climate Action—Exploring Trends before and after the Paris Agreement in the EU," published in the journal Sustainability.
She is fluent in both French and English (C2 level) and has a working knowledge of Swedish (B1/A2 level) and German (A1 level).
